Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs
Pocono Downs has been thrilling harness racing fans since the 1960s. Today, you can experience some of the country’s best racing action together with everything you’d expect from the Mohegan Sun brand.
Relax and enjoy the newly renovated grandstand with breathtaking views of the track and surrounding mountains. Or slip inside for equally dramatic views in the glass-enclosed Pacer’s Clubhouse. Either way, the action is nonstop. Plus, a brand new, 200-seat simulcast center even brings racing from around the world right to you.
The 2009 racing season began on April 1 and runs through November 21. Live racing is scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays with a 6:30pm post time, and Saturdays with a 1pm post time. Admission is free. Children under the age of 18 are restricted from racing wagering areas at all times. Children may enter the outdoor grandstand seating area and dining areas only while accompanied by an adult during live racing hours of operation. Children are not permitted in any racing area during simulcast-only days, or on live racing days after the live card has been completed.
Harrah's Chester Casino & Racetrack
In just three seasons, Harrah’s Chester Casino & Racetrack has established itself as a major destination for the top horses & drivers in the sport of harness racing. Fans are treated to wagering on a Who’s Who of equine stars as well as the best driver colony in North America.
The 2009 racing season began on Monday, April 13. Live racing is held on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Starting this year the new post times are Monday – Friday 5:00 P.M and Sundays at 1:15 P.M. Super Stakes Sunday – August 16 – will have a special 2:00 P.M. post time. The 150-day racing season concludes on Monday, November 23. There is also simulcasting action offered 7 days a week at Harrah’s Chester Casino & Racetrack, located just 10 minutes south of the Philadelphia International Airport.
